Recently I started designing some digital products to sell, and am slowly uploading them to the website shop. I’ve been putting them on Etsy, but, I think like many artists these days, moving everything to my own website is becoming more and more attractive. I don’t hate Etsy. It’s just a completely different website now than it used to be. So is life.
The digital paper packs are fun. I’ve been taking old collages, lumen prints, cyanotypes, ephemera, etc., and layering and tweaking them. While I’m not a fan of using digital images for my own collage work, I have the luxury of being able to use my own art and actual ephemera for it, something not always available to people.
This pack, Collage Papers Vol. 1 was a successful attempt to use the assorted collages that had accumulated over the years I had made previously, but that were either not that great individually, or just completely unlike my current style. Some are almost 20 years old! So I scanned all of them in and began layering and experimenting, ending up with some very unique pages.
