Cyanotype printing is an alternative photography process that uses sunlight to expose the image. I developed a way of taking the traditional cyanotype process and altering the process so that instead of a normal blue and white print, I could get varied shades of blue, green, sometimes even yellow creeps in. Instead of the end goal of a very tidy and neat blue and white cyanotype, the end goal is a unique, completely imperfect print. I use images taken in nature that I then process through photoshop to create the negatives I print from.My images will not have precise clear lines. Any blurring or pixelation you may see is part of the original image, as I use printed transparencies and unconventional methods, and scan the original prints at 600 dpi. The original prints are typically smaller than 8 x 10, so every detail becomes magnified as the image is enlarged. These matte, museum-quality posters are printed on durable, archival paper. Frame is NOT included. This print is made to order and ships separately from my printer; please allow 7-8 business days for processing BEFORE shipping. The print you will receive does NOT come with a frame; the pictures are for display purposes only. It will come rolled up and wrapped in tissue paper inside a cardboard mailing cylinder. If you leave the print on a flat surface for a few days it will flatten on its own; otherwise you can put heavy books on top to hasten the process. As these are printed to order, I cannot accept returns. Please purchase accordingly.
